Leading his small army, Alexander defeats the mighty Persian empire, then proceeds to conquer much of the known world over the next eleven years until his death at 32. His conquests paved the way for the spread of the Greek culture all over three continents, changing the course of history. Thus, he became known as Alexander The Great.

When Sarah Jordan (Angelina Jolie), an American socialite living in London, meets Nick Callahan (Clive Owen) a renegade doctor, his commitment to humanitarian efforts in war-torn nations moves her deeply. Although married to Henry Bauford (Linus Roache) son of a wealthy British industrialist, Sarah exchanges a comfortable life to join Nick on a perilous journey through the world's most dangerous hot spots.

In the closing days of the Civil War, wounder soldier Inman Jude Law is on a dangerous journey home to Cold Mountain, North Carolina, hoping to reunite with his beloved Ada Monroe Nicole Kidman. Along the way, he meets interesting people and escapes death several times. Back on Cold Mountain, Ada fends off unwanted attention from some abusive thugs, while managing the farm left to her deceased father. She gets the much needed help from Ruby Renée Zellweger, a scrappy drifter, as life starts going back to normality. Philip Seymour Hoffman, Natalie Portman, Giovanni Ribisi, and Donald Sutherland also star.

KINGDOM OF HEAVEN is an epic adventure about Balian of Ibelin (Orlando Bloom), a common blacksmith who finds himself thrust into a decades-long war over Jerusalem. A stranger in a strange land, he serves a doomed king, falls in love with Sybilla (Eva Green) an exotic and forbidden queen, and rises to knighthood. Ultimately, he must protect the people of Jerusalem from overwhelming forces while striving to keep a fragile peace.

THE ALAMO id a historical drama detailing the 1835-36 Texas revolution before, during, and after the famous siege of the Alamo where 183 Texans and Tejanos commanded by Colonel William Travis (Patrick Wilson), along with Davey Crockett (Billy Bob Thornton) and Jim Bowie (Jason Patric), were besieged in by a Mexican army of nearly 2,000 men under the personal command of the Mexico's General Antonio Lopez de Santa Ana (Emilio Echevarría), and the subsequent Battle of San Jacinto where the rag-tag army of General Sam Houston (Dennis Quaid) defeated Santa Ana's army leading to the indepedence of Texas.

American Civil War veteran Captain Nathan Algren (Tom Cruise) trains the Emperor's troops in 1870s Japan to use modern weapons as the Emperor prepares to defeat the last of the Samurai. When Algren is captured by Samurai leader Katsumoto (Ken Watanabe), he is transported as a prisoner to the heart of enemy territory. Observing everything around him, Algren discovers that the Samurai's code of honor resonate with his inner self. Before long, Algren starts training in becoming a Samurai.

In 1193 B.C., Prince Paris of Troy (Orlando Bloom) spirits away the legendary beauty Helen (Diane Kruger) from her husband King Menelaus of Sparta (Brendan Gleeson), setting the Greeks and the Trojans at war. The Greeks, headed by Menelaus' brother King Agamemnon of Mycenaea (Brian Cox), set off with a thousand ships to destroy the Trojans. Troy, headed by King Priam (Peter O'Tooke), is a citadel that has never been breached. The Greeks have Achilles (Brad Pitt), a skilled warrior dreaded by all for his killing prowess. The Trojans have Prince Hector (Eric Bana), himself known for his courage in battle. All is set for the epic battle over the city that was once Troy.
