37-year-old career woman Rafi Gardet (Uma Thurman) from Manhattan is wooed by 22-year-old talented painter David Bloomberg (Bryan Greenberg) from Brooklyn who also happens to be the son of Dr. Lisa Metzger (Meryl Streep), Rafi's psychoanalyst. Prime is a sophisticated, character comedy that looks at how friends and relatives come together or fall apart when two people fall in love.

Shopgirl is the story of Mirabelle Buttersfield (Claire Danes), a disenchanted salesgirl who sells gloves and accessories at a department store. The two men in her life are Ray Porter (Steve Martin), a wealthy divorcee, and Jeremy Kraft (Jason Schwartzman), a struggling musician. Mirabelle is swept off her feet by Ray into a life of glamor and magic, but is life with Jeremy the better alternative?

Frank (Dennis Quaid), a widowed Coast Guard Admiral, and Helen (Rene Russo), a handbag designer widow, fall in love and plan to tie the knot. But with his 10 children and her eight children trying to sabotage the marriage, they discover what it really takes to build a family.
